Alright we already know a Japanese place finna be fire if it only seats a small family post inflation. Interior looking like you just walked into a small alleyway but you know you still in Seattle when you see people with bright colored hair. Anyhow chirashi was what i expected from a WA spot not amazing but pretty good. Everything was served fresh as if the fish was still swimming. Portion for price ain't bad and service was fast. Cut approved if you in the area

I'm so happy that I finally got around to trying this place! There is very few seating inside the shop (like less than 10 seats probably), so be prepared to wait a little bit. Once you get a table, there is a QR code so you can place your order on your phone. I am kind of new to eating poke, so I was intrigued and also hesitant to order one. I am SO glad that I did - it was AMAZING!!! I ordered the Ahi Poke Bowl with the 356° Ra-Yu sauce. This sauce was sooooo tasty and umami and not too spicy. The bowl was a generous portion. The tuna pieces didn't have any iron-y taste. I loved how there are options to customize your bowl exactly how you want it, such as omitting certain toppings (which is what I did). I would skip on the shibazuke topping (pickled eggplant) next time. It was a little too salty for my tastebuds. The miso soup was also delicious - maybe one of the best miso soups I've had! Definitely recommend coming to eat during happy hour (10% off everything). I also believe there's always a 10% discount if you order online for takeout.

I absolutely love this place! This restaurant is owned by the same owners of Tamari Bar, Rondo, Hi Life, Baiten, and Parlour New Oasaka. Gyo Gyo En is located near the Amazon Spheres in downtown Seattle. I love the Wagyu Dandan Style Curry, which has a kick to it, but is so flavorful. Warning, you will strongly smell like curry for a while after eating it. The Wagyu Hamburger Steak and tiramisu were also very good, but I don't believe they exist on the menu anymore as I had gone earlier this year, but am writing this review now. There's a variety of interesting dishes on the menu that I have yet to try, but they all look good. I'm curious about the Unagi bento and if you're a fan of Chirashi, they have two just for you. They also have poke and sashimi. Gyo Gyo En is very tiny with limited seating, so I'd recommend takeout if you can or arrive earlier to beat the lunch rush. It is very busy during lunch, so I recommend ordering online in advance (even if you're dining in, just let them know): https://gyogyoen.square.site/ . There also seems to be an online discount if you go that route.

Pro tip, if you order online there is a blanket discount at the time of this review, you can find it on their website or by scanning the qr code from the stand right outside their restaurant. If it's also happens to be happy hour they have a pretty generous discount. The location is small so I would not expect to eat inside, every time I've ordered someone was sitting in already. I'm assuming this is why they might have that online order discount. The food tastes great here. I've had their sashimi plates and their eel dishes and both were items I would get again. The food comes out relatively quickly as well.

Quality was amazing!! The prices are not too high compared to other Seattle sushi places. The fish was so fresh!! The toppings were just enough in proportion to the rice. The place is very small but didn't feel too crowded. Would definitely come back!

What a cute little hole in the wall spot! We walked in got seated immediately since we intentionally arrived before the dinner rush. The QR code took you to the menu and to place and pay for your order. But thank goodness they all had a menu posed on the wall with photos. Everything was scrumptious. Too bad we couldn't try more items. Would definitely come back again if we are in the area.

Gyo Gyo En is the sister restaurant of Tamari Bar and Rondo. It is a small restaurant which reminds me of eateries in Japan. They are two table and counter seating for about 8 people. The decor varied from whiskey bottles displayed at the window, to sake bottle hanging from the ceiling, and Gundam on the shelf. Service was very friendly as she allowed us to change our to go order to dine in when a seat became available. Wagyu Dandan style Curry was full of spices and stronger flavor than a typical Japanese curry. Ltd. Wagyu Mazemen was delicious as the noodles had a nice bit to them. It did feel a little dry and could use a hair more of sauce. Overall would get both of these dishes again and will come back to try their other food!

Found this place within walking distance of our hotel and decided to give it a try based on the reviews! We had the seaweed salad, salmon poke bowl, and limited wagyu mazemen. Everything was served in pretty good portion and delicious. We may go back for lunch tomorrow

Rondo on the go! I love Rondo, and was happy to see their group opened Gyo Gyo En. They have Bentos and chirashi galore for an easy pick up for lunch. Popped in for lunch one day and was able to order right away. It was kind of nice too because it was lunch happy hour so there was a little discount added. Got the bara chirashi that i love at rondo, and as always it was super fresh here at Gyo Gyo. Honestly with how much they pack in these bowls and bentos I'd say its one of the best values in the city for fresh fish. Got the in house yuzu highball, and it was tasty as well! A solid stop for lunch for sure! If you work in the area or are just in the area this is a spot you'll want to try!

The new place I had heard nothing about piqued my interest as they serve a range of food. Bento, sashimi and sushi to name a few. I ended up with a taste for their ramen. my lunch hour was about to get pretty interesting. Being in SLU you know about the parking situation or you don't. I'm here to tell you there is none. By the time you are ready to eat everything is sewn up. There is just a small single door for Gyo--so pay attention or you might miss it! I also want to point out it's specifically a take out spot. STANDING ROOM ONLY but don't let that deter you. Just enjoy the goodness in the privacy of your office. The ramen I ordered had Salmon sashimi, saffron, salmon roe and a creamy seafood broth. My only regret is that there was only enough broth to whet the noodles and not really much to drink at the end. Other than that I'm very satisfied with my meal. Thank you Gyo-Gyo en Seattle
